Call for Volunteers: Help Shape Topic Tables at OARC 45

 

At OARC 45, which will take place this coming October in Stockholm, Sweden, we’re introducing Topic Tables—informal lunch-hour spaces where attendees can connect over shared interests, whether technical, professional, or just for fun.

We’re looking for volunteers to help bring this to life by:

• Suggesting a range of table topics (DNS, burnout, career paths, hobbies, travel—anything goes)
• Helping identify people to kick off or guide conversations
• Assisting with signage and light coordination during lunch sessions

Estimated time commitment:

• 2–3 short planning calls (30–45 min each) between now and October 6
• Support during 2 lunch sessions (90 minutes each)
• Brief setup and tear-down each day (15–20 minutes before and after lunch)

Total time: ~6–7 hours over the next few months, with most of that during the event itself.
