PC CHAIR Responsibilities (summary)

  • Prepare Call for Presentations text previous to each workshop in conjunction with some input from OARC staff
  • Prepare pre-workshop schedule with dates (some garnered from OARC Staff) for CfP, submission deadline, agenda publication, and workshop registration
  • Onboards new PC members by acquainting them with Indico
  • Organize monthly Program Committee conference call, including agenda and reminder
  • Agenda is made available using DNS-OARC etherpad
  • Propose draft workshop agenda based on the accepted submissions
  • Best ranked submissions first until space is completed.
  • Coordinate timekeepers and session chairs during workshop
  • Help to sort out any last-minute issues with the workshop organization in coordination with DNS-OARC staff
  • Coordinate communication of Call for Presentations using different mechanisms and communities, according to a documented list
  • Answer inquiries from interested parties during the submission phase
